Cutting Edge SWIR Technology
Princeton Infrared Technologies, Inc. (PIRT) is focused on InGaAs detector arrays for shortwave infrared (SWIR) imaging. PIRT is also looking at other material structures for detection that can increase performance or lower cost but these are still in research and development. Lattice matched In.53Ga.47As (abbreviated as InGaAs) has demonstrated the lowest noise room temperature detectors for imaging from 0.4 to 1.7 µm. This is PIRT’s primary material for imaging in SWIR.
