Robert DiBlasi

Rob joined Princeton Infrared Technologies as the Director of Sales in November 2023, bringing over 15 years of photonics engineering, sales and business development experience. He is responsible for the company's sales and applications engineering departments, relentlessly focused on meeting the product and support needs of Princeton Infrared's diverse customer base.

Prior to joining PIRT, Rob was an optical engineer at L3 Communications (now L3Harris), where he focused on the design, development, production and test of advanced UV/VIS/SWIR hyperspectral imagers for air and space platforms. Following L3, Rob spent over 10 years at Hamamatsu Corporation, where he advanced from Inside Sales Engineer to Strategic Account Manager, growing his business fivefold in the process.

Rob is a proud graduate of the University of Rochester's Institute of Optics with a BS in Optical Engineering. He expects to receive his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in June 2024, with concentrations in behavioral science, entrepreneurship, economics, strategy and general management. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including Optica, SPIE, IEEE and more.

Rob is based in Chicago IL, where you may find him around town exploring new (and old) restaurants, enjoying live music, or engaging with the community as a youth mentor and animal shelter volunteer. When not in Chicago Rob gets to enjoy one of his true passions - traveling as much of the world as possible. He looks forward to the opportunity to visit you at your facility - especially if it's somewhere he has not yet been!
